Resume examples

Three complete one-page resumes with notes on why each line is there. Open any of them in the builder, replace the facts with yours and download the PDF: no account, no paywall.

How to use an example without copying it

An example is useful for its shape: what goes first, how long each part is, how a result is phrased. The facts have to be yours. A recruiter who asks “tell me about the 58% reduction” expects an answer.

Keep the structure, replace every line. Open the example in the builder and go section by section. For each achievement, ask what you did that is similar and what number you can attach to it. If nothing fits, delete the line instead of adapting someone else’s claim.

Match the order to the job. The nurse example puts certifications before experience because that is the first thing a healthcare recruiter checks. A new graduate would put education first. The builder lets you reorder sections under “Section order”.

Then compare with the posting. Paste the job description into the resume check to see which of its terms are missing from your text.

Frequently asked questions

Can I copy an example?

Use it as a starting structure. “Use this example in the builder” opens it as a separate version so you can replace each line with your own facts. Copying someone else’s claims is easy to catch in an interview.

Are the people in the examples real?

No. Names, companies and numbers are fictional and exist to show structure and wording.

Why do the examples fit on one page?

Because one page is enough for most careers under ten years. Each example keeps three or four results per recent job and one line for older ones.
